Avero ("we", "us", or "our") built Simple Clean (the "Application") as a privacy-first utility application designed to help users optimize storage, manage junk files, and declutter notifications on Android devices.
2. Information Collection and Use
Simple Clean does not maintain any backend application servers. No personal data is transmitted from your device to us. All calculations, storage directory traversals, duplicate detections, and notification indexing take place strictly in the local sandboxed memory of your Android device.
2.1 Data Processed Locally (Never Uploaded)
- File Metadata & File Paths: Used locally during storage scans to identify temporary cache files, empty directories, log files, and duplicate content. File content is never transferred off your device.
- Application Package Information: Used to display installed app sizes, identify unused apps, and guide you to standard Android system uninstall screens.
- Notification Header Metadata: When notification listener is granted, notifications are parsed in volatile RAM to present a clean summary. Notifications are never saved to persistent storage or uploaded.
3. Android Permissions & Strict Declarations
To perform storage management, Simple Clean requests certain Android runtime and special access permissions. In accordance with Google Play Developer Policies, the table below provides our exhaustive declaration of every sensitive permission and its user-facing purpose:

4. Advertising Partners & Google Consent (UMP)
Simple Clean is offered free of charge. To support continuous development and maintenance, we display advertisements provided by Google AdMob.
4.1 Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) & GDPR Compliance
In compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in the European Economic Area (EEA), the UK GDPR, and California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):
- Simple Clean integrates the official Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to request consent for personalized advertising before loading ads.
- Users in applicable regions can accept, decline, or configure personalized ad preferences via the standard Google consent dialogue on initial launch.
- If consent is denied or unavailable, Google AdMob serves non-personalized contextual ads only.

5. Security of Your Data
Because Simple Clean does not operate remote servers or store personal user accounts in the cloud, there is no remote database susceptible to data breaches. All actions taken by Simple Clean (such as file deletion or notification clearing) are executed under explicit user confirmation and restricted by standard Android OS sandbox security constraints.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Application is not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal identifiable information from children under 13.
